Is your ambition eating your marriage?
I was looking at the research this week (as I do), and the data is quite sobering: Sixty percent of business partnerships between romantic partners fail.
Ben and I were talking about this over coffee, and he made a great point most high-achievers think if they just work harder or hit that next revenue goal, the relationship will "figure itself out." We apply immense rigor to our businesses, yet we treat our most important partnershipour marriage like it’s on autopilot.
This weeks podcast episode, "The Power Couple Playbook," we get uncomfortably honest. I bring the Harvard and INSEAD stats on why strong partnerships are a 6x competitive advantage, and Ben brings the reality of what happens when I start "backseat driving" his systems.
The secret isn't more chemistry. It’s better systems.
If you’ve found yourself talking about school fees and P&L statements at 11 PM, or feeling like you're competing with your partner instead of collaborating, this episode is for you.
